Expansion to new premises for Ocean Mainport

Ocean Mainport Rescue Ltd, the Aberdeen-based stand-by vessel operator, is expanding into new premises.  The new offices at Merchants House, Aberdeen, will provide the firm with its own stand alone building previously occupied by Seletar Shipping.

Ocean Mainport Rescue Ltd was formerly Havila's UK stand-by business which was acquired by Ocean Mainport Holdings Ltd at the end of January 2007.  The Ocean Mainport Holdings Group is jointly owned by Sartor Shipping AS of Norway and Irish Mainport Holdings Ltd of Cork and represents one of the largest operators of multi-role stand-by vessels in the North Sea.

The Aberdeen operation currently owns 11 vessels and manages two further supply vessels for Norwegian owners.  It has plans to add to its successful operation as well as increase it's team to 13 to support further growth in this sector.

John Bryce, Managing Director, Ocean Mainport Ltd said: "We are delighted to be moving into new premises which marks an exciting time for the whole team.  Since the change of ownership earlier this year, our aim has been to continue to expand our stand-by and emergency response capabilities within both the Norwegian and British Sector of the North Sea, and to be able to provide cross-border solutions reflecting the needs of our clients.  The new premises will form an excellent base for our growth and will provide a productive office for our expanding team."

Ocean Mainport provides multi-role offshore vessels and supply requirements for platform and drilling rigs - the firm operates vessels for a number of oil majors.
